Register Agent
The Register Agent form is used to register a new, existing or deregistered agent to your company. Only one agent can be registered per form.
- Review the current agents registered with NAMFISA. Click View Company Profile --> Agents. If you wish to register an agent continue to next step.
- Create the form by selecting Manage Forms --> Create Form --> Select Register Agent and give the form a name (The name of the form should specify the Agents Name) --> Click Create.
- To complete a form select Draft Form --> Click on Form Name link in table.
- You will then be brought to a new screen displaying all of the sections of the form and their associated statuses.
- To edit a section, click on the name of the form section or the Edit link.
- Enter the information into the form making sure you enter information into all the mandatory fields marked with a red asterisk. Some inputs only allow certain types of data to be entered (dates, letters, numbers etc) and you will be restricted to these types by the system.
- In Section A of this form you are required to select whether the agent is: New: This individual has never been registered with NAMFISA. Existing: This individual is currently registered with NAMFISA but under another company. Deregistered: This individual was registered with NAMFISA previoulsy but has been deristered. If the individual being registered is 'New' or 'Deregistered' then a form requiring addidtional information will become available for completion. Also a fee of $200 is required. If the individual being registered is 'Existing' or 'Deregistered' their existing License Number must be entered into Section A of this form. If the License Numnber of the agent is unknown please contact the NAMFISA service desk to obtain it. If the License Number is not correct an error will occur.
- To add a file, click on the Browse button & select the file to upload. There is a restriction on the size of the file permitted to be uploaded. If the file you are attempting to upload is too big, please compress the file and try again.
- Once you have either partially or fully completed the form section you have the option of saving the modifications for later review by clicking the 'Save Draft' button and the system will save the data.
- To validate the section, once all relevant information has been entered, please click the 'Validate & Save' button and if all the data is correct the form section status will be updated to Validated. If there are any issues or errors with the form then a window containing the Error information and the steps to address will be displayed.
- Once the form is fully completed and Validated click NAMFISA Online --> Submission --> Submit Form --> Click on 'Submit' for the relevant Form Name in table --> Confirm the Submission by selecting 'Confirm'.
- For every new agent registered a fee of $200 will be required.
- The company user will receive an email to confirm the form has been submitted to NAMFISA.
- Q: I do not know the license number of the agent. A: Contact the service desk with the name & id number of the agent.
- Q: I do not know if the agent is new, existing or deregistered. A: Contact the service desk with the name & id number of the agent.
- Q: I have entered an existing agent license number but the system does not accept it. A: the license number could be incorrect, the license number could be a cancelled agent or the license number could be deregistered.
